Not Quite Wordless Wednesday-Sleepy Hollow

Last weekend we took a day trip to Sleepy Hollow, New York.  I wanted to see the Sleepy Hollow cemetery, though I never located Washington Irving's tomb, and the Stone Barns farm. Stone Barns was beautiful, even, or perhaps especially, on a rainy day,  but the one big disappointment was I thought they didn't allow dogs and it turned out they do!  We will back soon with our dogs in tow.  Stone barns and Sleepy Hollow are about an hour away from the Jersey City/NYC metro area.

  1. Great excuse for another trip then, with the dogs.
A damp misty day is just perfect for a trip to a cemetery - it all looks wonderfully atmospheric. And you have the perfect wellies!
    Cheers, Gail.

  6. You look awesome!!! I adore the idea of partnering a classic skirt suit with elegant (they really are in my eyes) rain boots.

Big hugs & many thanks for your blush-inducingly-kind comment on my vintage expo outfit in yesterday's post,

  9. Your photographs have an old English feel to them. I really wanted to go to the Great Pumpkin Blaze but tickets have been sold out. Such a great place to visit during Halloween time and perfect to wear your rain boots!
