Norbert's dad and I try to honor his memory by giving our current dogs the best life we can and enjoying them ever day. Norbert was a very cuddly dog, and his successor Fry is perhaps even cuddlier. I like to think theres a little bit of Norbert in Fry.

One Year
Today marks the one year anniversary of the day I said goodbye to one the canine loves of my life, Norbert. I was very lucky to share 12 and a half years with my boy and we where both blessed that the end was quick and relatively painless. As someone who struggles terribly with decision making in retrospect I think its a good thing that there where really no decisions to be made, Norbert's nasal cancer was insanely aggressive taking him in only a few days time.

I wish dogs lived as long as parrots and whales, but we can just enjoy the wonderful few years we have.
ReplyDeleteYou are a great dog parent, Norbert has to be very proud of you. Hugs...stella rose
ReplyDeleteNorbert will always be in your heart, that's just how it should be and maybe, when it doesn't hurt to do it, you could do a post telling newbies like me all about him, I would luffs to nose. Big hugs to you

What a sweet tribute to your wonderful boy! It sure looks like you do a great job honoring his memory by doing such a great job caring for your current pups!
ReplyDeleteA year. Doesn't seem possible. We think your idea of making all the pups' lives the best is a wonderful attitude.
ReplyDeleteYour pups are obviously spoiled and well taken care of, those angels are right there with you

Oh, I think one year anniversaries are hard. Big hugs. It's nice to see some of your angel pup in your new pup. We see Rita "channeling" Abby every now and then.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you! My Norbert always be in your heart and you in his forever!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you on the one year anniversary of your sweet Norbert's passing.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a wonderful life together. I agree, the best way to honor his memory is to give the best life to your current dogs. And I do think there is a bit of Norbert in Fry xoxo
It's horrible to lose a part of your family so quickly, it happened with my cat Norman in October and it was heartbreaking. Big hugs on a tough, but hopefully a happy memories day. xx
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all these shots of Norbert. The first anniversary is so hard ...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry... it's difficult, I know..... Norbert was loved and such a handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tribute to a deeply beloved departed four legged family member.
ReplyDeleteGentle hugs,

I miss Norbert, too. He certainly was a handsome fellow. And it sounds like he had a sweet nature. Sending some pug love your way!
