This is just a short little film of an ordinary couple, Miss Rose Carmel and Mr. Solly Gershcowit, and their 1925 wedding. I particularly love the guests hamming for the camera, which must have been quite a novelty, and the dresses and headbands on the little girl attendants.
Lovely! The kids, in particular, are so entertaining and so obsessed with the camera. I love the boy jumping up and down and the little girl dancing and waving her fan.
Have a super Easy Sunday xxoxxxx

Lovely film. I see some people are looking at camera. I agree, it must have been quite a novelty back then :-)
ReplyDeleteThey don't make wedding dresses like that any more!

Would have been quite a novelty. Loved all the people milling around and circling. And I see that nothing has changed with young boys and a camera!

ReplyDeleteThere is a silent film movie theatre in Los Angeles. Cool, huh

How cool is that. Hope the descendants of the two have copies. Have a marvellous Monday.
