Fathers Day Suprise

We had a bit of a surprise here. We found this stuck in our huckleberry tree and rescued it with a ladder.

Yes it's a kitten. About 12 weeks old and we aren't sure if it is a boy or girl.   Not everyone knows this but we have 3 cats. Baby Scooter and Ernie ages 15 13 and 12. They are very hard to photograph so I never post pictures.    We brought the kitten inside and put him or her in Bobs crate.

Our dogs are curious

Our cats seem pretty  pissed, that's Baby below. Clearly thinking not another one!!!!

Scooter hid upstairs

Ernie was hissing but enjoyed the cat treats we gave him.

The kitten has a good appetite

Tomorrow we go to the vet. We haven't quite decided what to do yet, but it definitely won't be gong to a shelter.

Kitten has one blue and one green eye which is pretty neat.

Hopefully he or she is healthy and finds a good home either with us or someone else.

  6. Did you put up flyers in your neighborhood and contact animal control... in case he/she did escape from someone's home?

  7. Oh my goodness! So pretty! What a special little creature. Yes, a flyer or an email to neighborhood listserves is a great idea..otherwise doesn't look like would be such a stretch to take in him or her for the long haul :)

  10. Wow! Well, he (or she?) certainly knew the right tree to climb. I bet that meal tasted good and he enjoyed staying in your home. Hope you find a home for the little one.

    Sid.

  11. Oh, what a little cutie! Thank you for saving her and for making sure she's okay and finds a good furever home. (Catching up - love those vintage mermaids!)

  12. Oh how preciously sweet. The universe clearly knew that you guys were the right people to send this wee furry bundle of cuteness and life to. The fact that he/she has heterochromia is so awesome! I've always been drawn to animals and people alike with this rare trait.

Thank you for bringing him/her into your home for now (or forever, whatever will be). You are such good people!

  13. That is very kind of you to take the kitten in and care for it until a decision is made. I'm grateful I don't live in an area where there are a lot of strays, I can only imagine what would happen. LOL
